Dear Mr. Musk, I have got to learn about you and your vision for the future of human recently and I would like to let you know I'm very inspired by your motivation and ambition. Colonizing planets sounds nice and I'm sure with what you are doing for us now, it only matter of time when that event happen. A million people Mars seems to take quite some time to reach but if you are taking the first 1000 or 10.000 humans to Mars in the next 20, 30 years, I would love to be one of those. I'm always been fascinated with flying & exploring and if you plan to build a 1 million people city on Mars, individual like me would be useful. A brief of myself, a 27 year old proud human being from Asia, speaking English as a second language, love plants, swimming & discovering. I've been working with foreigners through my hospitality & corporate jobs over the years and gained a good understanding of culture and language diversity. I'm experienced with people all ages. Teaching, cooking, adapting are some other skills of mine. I think a life on Mars would be challenging as it's not going to be easy like on Earth and we will sure missing home. But I believe a common desire and good agreement would make this vision reality. Anyway, if you ever across my message, would love a chat with you.

Flame was partially nominal. Burning off excess methane is good for the environment since it is more dangerous than CO2. But from previous flights, sometimes its NOT nominal, because SN10 suffered a methane leak that ended up making contact with a similar flame, making the freshly landed vehicle explode.

Flat earthers' logic: When two identical trucks collide in head-on collision with precisely at the same speed, the globetards say that there is a force to one direction and an equal opposite force to another direction by some newton law. We got ya! The whole sum of the force of the event is 0 because the other truck is moving to equally opposite direction! Therefore in fact there is no forces involved at all! The damage was caused by the bouyancy because of it being.. well the result of earth's magnetism and acceleration.

Two trucks aren't perfectly elastic theoretical objects. They are deformable objects - the energy in their momentum is converted to heat and sound on impact.

Follow channels like Lab Padre and NSF, they have daily coverage on all things going on at the production/launch facility. Right now they're focusing on building the launch tower, so they can fly Super Heavy and Starship to orbit. They most likely won't have anymore tests like SN15. They may do SN16 but everything after that should be orbital

Hello. My nickname is ROFA * MUSLUM *. I am the leader of Platon club. And our club works on the categories of robotics, coding, design. My English is not perfect, so I apologize in advance. Our question to you: Do you get extra energy from solar panels on Mars? If you don't, why don't you use a new, Pilter energy source from the cold? The place where the solar panel is covered is a shadow. And the parts that are shaded on the planet are cold. You can get extra energy and with this energy you can clean the dust on the solar panel.

You are correct, but leaving out many important details. Gov programs have been successful (but not perfect btw) on getting people to LEO, ISS and the moon but they've never worked on getting both stages back successfully. The key goal of Starship is fully and rapid reuse which is a first of it's kind. Failures will happen but the key is to learn from them

Here's the British HARRIER fighter jet demonstrating some of its capabilities, especially VERTICAL LANDING with FUSELAGE ORIENTED HORIZONTALLY. I chose this particular video because it shows in detail the technology employed to control the Plane's complex maneuvers. se-one.info/cycle/mth5ipiaoKmqjaI/video Do not design for IDEAL CONDITIONS. This is ONLY good for prototyping, like in computer programming. Vertical orientation is ideal when all your landings will always be in ideal conditions, no exceptions! Vertical might be right for Falcon 9, but certainly not for very heavy, tall and top heavy Starship. Do you guys see the STABILITY of the Harrier? Consider this. Imagine Starship landing like the Harrier does, but with it's fuselage in vertical orientation, with all it's weight plus payload of 100 metric tons. When it's rockets shut down will Starship, standing tall and it's nose pointing up to the stars, will it be Stable? Safe on any terrain like on the moon or on Mars? With 1,000 STARSHIPS standing tall on Mars, how many will survive a Martian storm? Do you think there will even be one left standing? What about Marsquakes? The Harrier can go from 520mph to a complete stop in 12 seconds, and remain hovering, motionless in mid air. Because flying the Harrier was only in full manual mode - no A.I., no automatic system or subsystems - only the best pilots were chosen. The video indicates that hovering is the most difficult in flying the Harrier. It's much easier, though, to fly the F35 because the difficult aspects of flying are relegated to automation. The first Harriers rolled out in 1969, and 824 variants have been delivered since then. The U.S. also adapted the British Harrier for their own use. So, for Starship, just replace the jet engine with rocket engines and thrusters, and let it do VTOL like the F35 does (see above comment on F35). You already have the A.I. system for landing the craft. It is easy to adapt it to the case where the fuselage is horizontal. And, because Starship is Top Heavy, instead of tripods, use two spider legs up close to the nose, and two spider legs to the rear.

Was wondering why you couldnt use a carrier wave in space for propultion.. adding a 60 cycle tone to a carrier wave creating a magnetic field.. knowing on earth most your electronics operate on a 60 hz cycle.. harnessing that cycle and converting itnto a magnetic propultion could be acheived thru a modulation carrier.. pulsing it a high rate would create friction.. magnetic friction .. just a thought i had..

@∆ Yes, probably it´s just different points of view about the hole subject and also the use of language here......., Talking about "selected humanity" is a metaphor to refer to an elite or those in power it´s using the irony hiden behind the word "humanity", people use this word in such ways to hide all kind of consequences they dont even want to see. When i asked, "is this going to save humanity?", it´s posible to think also "who will use this technology in case we really need it, will it be the average person with a family living in a small house, or some guy who owns land the size of brooklyn?" For me saying "humanity is humanity" is a elegant frase and way to say "it is what it is, and i can not do anything about it", escaping much more worse concerns than looking Tony Stark, Dr. Evil and Mini Me going to space.

(a lot of your numbers were wrong anyway) Earth orbital speed: 29.79 km/s Earth circumference: 40,075 km Earth curvature per kilometer: 8 cm Earths axial tilt: Between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees - currently 23.5 degrees Arctic latitude: 66°33′48.6″ (north) Antarctic latitude: 66°33′48.6″ (south) Moon diameter: 3,474.8 km Surface temperature of Uranus: Between -153°C to -218°C Speed of sound: 343 m/s

Can asteroids be used for space travel ? .If some rocket launches an asteroid whose remain found on earth.Asteroid are very high density minerals.Asteroids have high speed when they travel the space .Atleast we can control the asteroid directions and when asteroid reaches the destination attached craft can be detached from the asteroid. If you think this is possible please like.

As Fascinating as it is to watch what a Marvelous Accomplishment this is, there is still a better, quicker & greener way using Hydro Power to get Humanity into Space. Rockets are great for launching satellites but not the greatest for building an orbiting DryDock & Launch Mechanism(~rotational, slingshot or projectile launch). The next step towards Space could take Tesla & Consortium to the next Level, towards "Instant Charging" Battery's as well as revolutionizing Travel around the World, Greatly reducing Greenhouse Emissions & getting you to the other side of the world in a Half Hour, it will take longer to get to the Airport than it will take to get from Nova Scotia to Japan. Imagine SpaceX HQ IN Space, instead of just SpaceX in HD? SpaceX could be resident on the Building Platform & Launcher orbiting Earth instead of its surface. Platforms for building Transport Vessels going back and forth to Mars or other planets like Mars @ its closest every 4 years. A Construction & Embarking Platform orbiting the planet that replaces the current Space Station in weeks(maybe even re-align the old station to the new orbit and incorporate into the platform design building the ground infrastructure in a decade and then the orbiting drydock platform in a decade, simply by being able to "potentially" send cargo up ~14 times a day increasing build times exponentially & being able to employ people onboard to assemble it in orbit.! As well as going to Mars. How many more people would apply knowing they can return in a decade? Wouldn't you like to add 2 new Categories to the Main Page of the Boring Co., Tunnels into Space & Tunnels for Global Travel Solutions?

@Oort Cloud Space Station has been orbiting over 20 years.. If rockets were ideal then we could have been on Mars by now... We could have been already on Mars in this time had we adapted & innovated ideas we already know... Shall we let another 20 years go by while tinkering with rockets? Rockets that burn Liquid Methane like Raptor??? No Greenhouse Gases there...

@theMANwhoTSOLDtheWORLD They already put the work into the raptor engine which is already the most complex rocket engine and the most efficient engine in terms of combustion. Are they NOT committing to the goal of getting to Mars already?

@Oort Cloud The point of my statement is that they possess the technology to get to the next step but they would rather waste time and money playing with rockets, and are fully within their rights to do so if this is their choice... The choice is theirs if they want to take space travel to the next level while benefitting from the advances in technology associated with it.. like finally making Instant Charge Batteries... or making the trip to Mars a round trip and committing to the goal...

@Yuk Ming Chen well they sort of already have proven repeated success of in-flight raptor burns, propellant transition to header tanks, flap control, in-flight raptor recognition, landing flip maneuver, and good targeting to landing pad. Sure, SN15 is the only prototype to survive the landing flip maneuver, but so many aspects of the rocket's hardware has been repeatedly tested.
